Had the C12 first, but then realized I needed something to cut wider boards. Flipping the boards over on the C12 didn't do it for me. Bought this saw to make a platform for my shed with planks. This saw is hands down awesome. It slides like butter and the vertical handle, while a little awkward for pure chop saw cuts, makes the sliding motion even smoother. The included blade is not bad. I bought the nailer to replace a very old Pasload 16 ga. nailer that kept double striking. I found that the stouter 15 guage nails seemed to hold the flooring better as well. This unit worked flawlessly and was very easy to position the nose into the flooring tongue when my big nailer ran out of space. I'm only posting to chime in and say that this nailer seems to be a very fine tool. My only problem with it was with Bostitch 2 1/2in nails. These nails jammed terribly in my gun. Apparently they are collated at a different angle than the Senco and other nails that are available for 15 gauge nailers. I've had lots of tools, gadgets, etc. over the years with nickel cadmium, nickel hydride, lithium, etc. Most of these worked OK but fell short in some way, usually in useable time per charge. The Hitachi Lithiums are great.. they have lots of power and are very long lasting. Also, the (separate)charger is a nice unit with status lights, a cooling fan, and over-charge protection.
